The District 12 Website Committee is responsible for maintaining the District’s website as an accurate information resource for members of A.A. It includes a current list of A.A. meetings, a calendar of speaker meetings and A.A. events, information about the services provided by District 12 through its officers and committees, and resources and information provided by A.A.’s General Service Office and A.A’s Southern Illinois Area 21.
District 12 Website Content Policies
In keeping with District 12 policy, a meeting must be held regularly for at least 6 months before it is listed on the website. In keeping with Alcoholics Anonymous Traditions 1, 3 and 5, the website lists only A.A. meetings and A.A. related events sponsored by an A.A. group. In keeping with A.A. Traditions 6, 8, and 10, the District 12 Website does not carry advertisements, and does not provide information or access to information about non A.A. activities or programs of any kind. In keeping with A.A. Traditions 10, 11, and 12, the District 12 Website is an informational resource about A.A., not a forum for comment or response of any kind.
